The Role of Technical Office Team Leader

Green Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Office Team Leader to oversee all technical office activities. This full-time role involves coordinating between design and execution teams, ensuring that drawings, quantities, materials, and technical submissions are fully aligned with project requirements. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a relevant capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Technical Office team, assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor the quality and timely completion of technical deliverables.
  • Review design and construction drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, approved specifications, and technical standards.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate Shop Drawings, ensuring timely submission and approval by consultants and relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and verify Quantity Take-Offs (QTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), providing technical support to cost control, procurement, and project teams.
  • Review technical specifications, materials, and Material Submittals to ensure compliance with approved project requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs), coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate closely with site and project teams to ensure execution aligns with approved drawings and technical specifications.
  • Identify clashes and technical conflicts between architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines, and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Review technical progress claims and support the preparation of periodic technical and project progress reports.
  • Monitor technical changes and support the preparation of Variation Orders (VOs) when required, in coordination with the Project Management team.
  • Maintain proper control, organization, and documentation of technical drawings, approvals, submissions, and project records.
  • Provide technical support to project teams and management as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong experience (5-10 years) in reviewing design, construction, and shop drawings.
  • Excellent ability to read and analyze drawings, identifying coordination issues between different disciplines.
  • Solid knowledge of BOQs, Quantity Take-Offs, technical specifications, and project documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Shop Drawings, RFIs, Material Submittals, and technical approvals.
  • Strong coordination skills for effective collaboration with the Technical Office, Project Management, Site Teams, Consultants, Contractors, and Suppliers.
  • Ability to supervise a technical team, distribute workloads, review deliverables, and ensure quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical and executable technical solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and meet demanding project deadlines.
  • Strong communication and technical reporting skills.

Technical Software Proficiency

  • AutoCAD – Required
  • Revit / BIM – Preferred
  • Experience with Quantity Take-Off and technical document management tools is an advantage.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
