The Opportunity

Wood is seeking a TPE III / Mechanical Engineer to join its Projects business. This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the project site located approximately 150 km from the city. The Mechanical Engineer will be integral to supporting project delivery through various engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate new engineering deliverables and revise existing ones.
  • Review and check engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with company procedures, standards, and checklists.
  • Support effective planning and completion of work within allocated man-hours, and proactively plan to prevent schedule slippage.
  • Interface, coordinate, and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
  • Coordinate with all relevant disciplines in the preparation and development of deliverables, ensuring the incorporation of input from other disciplines.
  • Conduct site visits to verify conditions and perform mark-up drawings or as-built activities.
  • Manage the submission of deliverables, ensuring required quality checks and proper record management.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and manage subcontract scopes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Full knowledge of Aramco and Sabic standards is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage engineering deliverables and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in technical report writing and presentation preparation.

Work Environment and Commitment

This is a full-time position supporting Wood's Projects business. The role requires presence at a project site located approximately 150 km from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with regular site visits as part of the responsibilities.
