About the Role

Airbus ** is seeking a Ground Support Technician - 3rd Shift to join the Manufacturing department in Al Qatif. This full-time role is responsible for the safe handling and delivery of Major Component Assemblies (MCAs) within the Final Assembly Line (FAL) operations. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Operate overhead cranes ( to 50 tons) with various configurations to off-load and deliver MCAs from transport jigs to FAL trolleys and stations, adhering to planning schedules.
Perform aircraft towing operations using heavy tow tugs for movement into and out of hangars for pre-Final Operational Testing.
Ensure aircraft system readiness and proper configuration for towing, cargo loading, mooring, electrical power connections, ventilation, and cabin access, in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM).
Coordinate logistical support for material cannibalization, reallocation, out-of-sequence requests, and the return of sea transport jigs.
Operate heavy equipment, including 30k forklifts and articulating/scissor lifts, for loading/unloading shipping containers and MCAs from sea jigs at heights of 20-30 feet.
Conduct fueling activities for ground support equipment (GSE) using portable fuel tanks.
Complete daily job cards to accurately record work, notify affected parties of clerical errors or incomplete documentation, and maintain up-to-date training records for EHS and SAP.
Perform daily pre-operational inspections of GSE.

Physical Requirements

Ability to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means.
Capable of operating a wide range of tools and equipment, including hydraulic lifts and arms.
Occasional carrying of up to 70lbs/*** and lifting of up to 30lbs/14kg.
Ability to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.
Capable of sitting for extended periods, squatting/kneeling occasionally, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to travel overseas and domestically, sometimes for extended periods and on short notice.
Comfortable working outside hangars in changing locations and on movable lifts at aircraft at heights of approximately 40 ft.
Ability to work in confined spaces, including ventilated fuel tanks with a mask, and enter a wing through a inch by * inch oval opening.
Capable of walking through office and production areas, around flightlines and airstrips, and on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces.
Ability to climb stairs or ladders as required.
Possess visual acuity to inspect parts/components and read small numbers.

Work Environment

This role is based in Al Qatif and involves working within manufacturing and hangar environments, requiring adaptability to various operational settings and physical demands.
