About the Role

Deloitte Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Auditor to join their Audit & Assurance team in Jeddah. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in audit and assurance, specifically within the insurance sector. The role involves contributing to impactful client engagements by leveraging your experience, insights, and skills.

Role Context and Purpose

As a Senior Auditor in the Insurance sector, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services. You will work within a diverse and global network, challenging yourself and mentoring others. Key Responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their service level expectations.
• Deliver high-quality services with a practical awareness of the impact of regulation and risk management on business processes and controls.
• Take responsibility for understanding key statistics and industry matters of an entity before engagement begins.
• Adapt template referral instructions to clearly outline the scope of procedures and audit focus areas.
• Understand the structure of group audits and the intended audience for referral instructions.
• Liaise effectively with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence, understanding delegated work scopes and the importance of providing accurate information.
• Assist in tracking deliverables from component auditors and understanding their relevance.
• Appropriately link risks, controls, procedures, and findings from allocated sections within the EMS file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and their contribution to overall audit quality.
• Understand the rationale behind audit plan timings and offer challenge regarding early work performance.
• Prepare documentation by anticipating reviewer questions and distinguishing accounting judgments from auditing judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to better understand the entity's business and apply professional skepticism.
• Maintain a practical awareness of risks around the engagement lifecycle, regulatory environment, and relevant practice protection policies.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in audit and assurance, with a focus on the insurance industry. A strong understanding of audit principles, risk management, and regulatory environments is essential. The ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and manage engagements is also required.
