About the Role: Emergency Management Advisor

Saudi Aramco, a global leader in energy and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Emergency Management Advisor to join its Loss Prevention Organization (LP). This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the company's commitment to maximizing the value of energy production while enhancing societal value. The role is based in various locations including Riyadh, Ras Tannurah, Dhahran, Jeddah, Yanbu, and Jazan.

Role Context and Objectives

The Loss Prevention Organization provides essential in-field occupational and process safety support, alongside centralized technical consulting. As an Emergency Management Advisor, your primary function will be to deliver expert guidance on emergency management to company organizations. This involves assisting in the development and implementation of robust emergency management programs, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and recognized standards such as FEMA guidelines, NFPA 1600, and NFPA 1620.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for emergency management initiatives, aligning them with corporate objectives.
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments to enhance emergency preparedness.
• Assist departments in identifying necessary resources for effective emergency response.
• Improve the performance of Emergency Control Centers (ECCs) for coordinated incident response.
• Develop credible incident scenarios based on risk assessments, utilizing an all-hazards approach to support comprehensive emergency planning.
• Develop pre-incident plans to facilitate effective emergency response.
• Create site-specific emergency response plans tailored to diverse operational environments.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate emergency management training programs for all employee levels.
• Plan, execute, and assess emergency exercises, integrating lessons learned for program improvement.
• Develop emergency response strategies and facilitate the corporate emergency management taskforce to enhance business resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to ensure preparedness, response, and recovery frameworks align with operational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a key facilitator for the corporate emergency management taskforce, ensuring cross-functional coordination and alignment with industry best practices.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in emergency management or a related field. A strong understanding of industry best practices and recognized standards, including FEMA guidelines, NFPA 1600, and NFPA 1620, is essential. The ability to develop and implement comprehensive emergency management programs is critical for success in this role.
