Customer Reliability Engineer

About the Role

John Crane is seeking a Customer Reliability Engineer to provide on-site support to external customers in Turaif, Northern Frontier. This full-time role focuses on enhancing the reliability and performance of rotating equipment, particularly sealing systems, through expert analysis and technical support. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Responsibilities

The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for conducting comprehensive failure analyses and reliability assessments. This includes identifying opportunities for performance improvement, troubleshooting equipment issues, and leading root cause analyses (RCA) using established methodologies. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing reliability analyses of customer rotating equipment, with a focus on sealing system performance and optimization.
• Leading and supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations involving sealing systems and rotating equipment, including site assessments, data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation of findings and recommendations to customers.
• Conducting field troubleshooting activities, including problem diagnosis, development of corrective actions, and implementation of appropriate solutions in collaboration with customer teams.
• Delivering detailed technical presentations and recommendations to customers to support reliability improvement initiatives, sales opportunities, and RCA activities.
• Supporting customer sites with equipment measurements, seal installation, commissioning, and technical inspections.
• Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with John Crane standards, procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies.
• Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective technical support and professional communication.

Technical Support and Analysis

This role involves providing direct technical support for John Crane products and assisting with various customer maintenance activities. The engineer will be instrumental in the installation, dismantling, inspection, and assembly of mechanical seals and related equipment. A core aspect of the role is the application of structured problem-solving techniques such as Fault Tree Analysis, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagrams, and Apollo RCA to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong understanding of rotating equipment and sealing systems. Experience in conducting failure analyses and root cause investigations is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Turaif, Northern Frontier, requiring direct interaction with external customers and adherence to John Crane's operational and safety standards.
