The Role of Financial Business Analyst

Blooming Wear is seeking a Financial Business Analyst to join its team in Makkah, covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is responsible for independently preparing, analyzing, and improving management reporting across the Group and its business units. The analyst will manage monthly P&L reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, conduct performance analysis, and prepare management presentations. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly P&L reports for assigned companies, channels, and business units within agreed timelines.
• Reconcile management reports to the general ledger and investigate material differences with Accounting.
• Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario models in coordination with business owners.
• Analyze revenue, gross profit, EBITDA, net profit, margins, expenses, and key operational drivers.
• Assess profitability by company, channel, customer, category, product, store, project, or other relevant dimension.
• Analyze inventory, receivables, payables, and cash conversion drivers, highlighting emerging risks.
• Validate source data and reconcile information across ERP, sales, inventory, courier, and other operating systems.
• Automate recurring reports and analysis using advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and other approved tools.
• Maintain clear review checks, documentation, and audit trails for financial models and management reports.
• Identify reporting gaps, inefficient processes, and control weaknesses, proposing practical improvements.

Financial Planning and Analysis

The Financial Business Analyst will review and challenge assumptions for sales, gross margin, operating expenses, working capital, and cash flow. This includes tracking actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year, and providing reliable outlook updates. The role also involves building sensitivity and what-if analyses to support commercial and operational decisions.

Data Management and Automation

A key aspect of this role involves converting financial and operational data into clear business insights, challenging results where necessary, and improving recurring reports through standardization and automation. The analyst will support the integration of Dynamics 365 data into dashboards and standardized management reports, and use AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate analysis and presentation preparation.

Cross-Functional Coordination and Continuous Improvement

The analyst will work closely with Accounting to ensure transactions are complete and correctly classified for management reporting. This role requires partnering with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and subsidiary teams to understand performance drivers and following up independently on missing inputs and unresolved variances. The analyst will also support ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects assigned by the Finance Manager.
