Role Overview

Excis Compliance is seeking a Network Engineer (L1/L2) to support enterprise and data center network infrastructure. This is a contract position based in Makkah, specifically Jeddah or Makkah City. The role involves network design, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and incident resolution. Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience, with a preference for those who have supported critical production, data center, banking, or financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and support enterprise and data center network infrastructure, including highly available and business-critical environments.
• Support Cisco ACI environments, covering APIC, ANP/EPG, tenants, bridge domains, contracts, and endpoint connectivity.
• Perform network upgrades, migrations, hardware replacements, and infrastructure changes.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus switches, enterprise routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, static routing), VLANs, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, VRF, ARP, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot DMVPN, support enterprise WAN and branch connectivity, and implement/maintain SD-WAN solutions.
• Support VMware NSX-T environments, including virtual networking, overlay networks, and physical-to-virtual connectivity.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Dell and HP switches, including VLAN configuration, routing, upgrades, and migrations.
• Monitor network infrastructure, respond to alerts and incidents, perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis using tools like Wireshark.
• Support critical production and data center network environments, participate in maintenance windows, and respond to high-priority incidents.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, IP addressing information, and technical documentation, adhering to change management, security, and operational procedures.

Technical Expertise

• Cisco ACI & Nexus: Administration and troubleshooting of Cisco ACI and APIC, including tenants, EPGs/ANPs, bridge domains, contracts, VRFs, VLAN/VXLAN, and endpoint connectivity. Configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Nexus switches.
• Routing & Switching: Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, static routing, VLANs, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, VRF, ARP, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP. Ability to analyze routing tables and network paths.
• WAN Technologies: Experience with DMVPN, SD-WAN solutions, and troubleshooting WAN tunnels, routing, latency, and packet loss. Coordination with service providers on circuit issues.
• Network Virtualization: Support for VMware NSX-T environments, including troubleshooting virtual networking and security policies.
• Multi-Vendor Hardware: Configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Dell and HP switches.

Operational Support and Compliance

• Perform advanced network troubleshooting and root cause analysis, utilizing packet capture and log analysis.
• Identify recurring incidents and implement corrective actions, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or vendors as needed.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities, including participation in on-call or after-hours support.
• Ensure compliance with security, access control, audit, and change management requirements.
