About the Role

Kidana is seeking a Specialist Projects Contracts to join their team in Makkah, Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This contract position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on managing the procurement process for all projects within Kidana's Projects Departments. The specialist will ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, maintaining high quality standards and meeting operational needs.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical and operational expertise in managing the procurement process for all projects related to Kidana's Projects Departments. This involves ensuring that all goods and services are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with project requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of procurement strategies and plans aligned with Kidana's objectives and project needs.
  • Apply procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, transparency, and accountability.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and identify deviations to ensure spending remains within approved limits and is cost-effective.
  • Conduct evaluations of potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Support the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing to delivery and inventory coordination, to ensure efficiency.
  • Assist in the execution of risk mitigation measures related to procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement activities support organizational goals.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform comparative analysis of quotations, evaluating key elements such as pricing, delivery, and warranties.
  • Identify the lowest quoted price and significant price variations between suppliers, noting unique terms or value-adds.
  • Implement and execute the Procurement Committee process.
  • Review technical specifications and commercial terms for material/product requests.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations based on price, quality, delivery, and past performance.
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments and site visits as required.
  • Recommend the most suitable supplier for review and approval by the relevant authority.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on proposed revisions and negotiate terms within approved authority, escalating matters as needed.
  • Ensure final contract language addresses concerns raised by internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle from initiation through signing.
  • Track change orders and contractual variations.
  • Maintain a contract register/database and track key expiry and renewal dates.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in project contracts and procurement management.
