About the Role

Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Software Engineer within the Drilling Department. This full-time position is based in Najran and requires 2-5 years of experience. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions to support drilling operations, improve data management, and enhance operational efficiency.

Role Context and Reporting

The Software Engineer will contribute to the digital transformation and optimization of drilling operations within a dynamic mining environment. This role involves developing applications, troubleshooting software issues, and integrating systems. The Software Engineer will report directly to the Technical Services Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software applications that support drilling operations.
• Design systems for drilling data collection and reporting.
• Maintain databases and backend systems.
• Integrate field data systems with office platforms.
• Troubleshoot software issues and system errors.
• Improve system performance and reliability.
• Support the automation of operational reporting processes.
• Collaborate with drilling teams to define system requirements.
• Test, deploy, and maintain software updates.
• Ensure data security and system integrity.
• Document software architecture and functionality.
• Support data visualization tools and dashboards.
• Enhance usability and user experience of systems.
• Monitor system performance and usage.
• Provide technical support and training to users.

• Develop APIs and integration solutions.
• Maintain backup and recovery systems.
• Support innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications
