BIM/GIS Manager

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a BIM/GIS Manager to lead the implementation, management, and integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This full-time role focuses on the construction supervision phase of major building and hospitality developments. The position is critical for ensuring effective digital project delivery, model coordination, and information management.

Role Purpose and Impact

The BIM/GIS Manager will be responsible for integrating spatial data and ensuring compliance with project BIM and GIS standards. This role supports efficient decision-making and project execution by maintaining data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all project phases. The manager will oversee model updates and the timely incorporation of design changes and site modifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) in alignment with client requirements and project objectives.
• Monitor contractor and consultant adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and information delivery requirements.
• Lead model review sessions and ensure multidisciplinary coordination of architectural, structural, MEP, and infrastructure models.
• Establish model quality control procedures to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Oversee model updates and ensure timely incorporation of approved design changes and site modifications.
• Develop and maintain GIS databases to support project monitoring, planning, and asset information management.
• Integrate geospatial data from surveys, site investigations, utility networks, and project stakeholders into project GIS platforms.
• Ensure spatial data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project information management requirements.
• Support site supervision and project teams through GIS-based analysis, mapping, and reporting tools.
• Coordinate the development and maintenance of project geospatial records for future operations and asset management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in BIM and GIS management within the construction supervision phase of major building and hospitality developments. A strong understanding of digital project delivery, model coordination, and spatial data integration is essential.
