Role Overview

The Chief Accountant will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial controls. This full-time position is based in Saudi Arabia and involves managing general ledger activities, reconciliations, budgeting support, tax compliance, and financial closing processes. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, supervising the accounting team, and providing financial insights to support business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards (*, IFRS) and company policies.
• Supervise and support the accounting team in daily operations.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts regularly.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Ensure accurate recording and classification of financial data.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Prepare tax reports and ensure timely filing and compliance.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Review payroll accounting and related financial entries.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all financial transactions.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities when required.
• Support financial analysis and provide insights to management for decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage daily accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards (*, IFRS) and financial controls.
• Experience with tax compliance and audit coordination.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and providing insights for decision-making.
