Landscape Engineer

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Landscape Engineer with over 12 years of experience for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in on-site supervision for stadium projects within the Mixed-use/Building/Infra sector, ensuring all construction activities adhere to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify all Landscape shop drawings.
• Approve material submittals and method statements provided by the contractor for construction.
• Provide design solutions using SketchUp for modeling purposes.
• Conduct site coordination and perform inspections.
• Address Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take timely, appropriate action.
• Maintain comprehensive records of daily site activities, including progress photos, ensuring they are readily available for inspection.
• Prepare Site Instructions (SI) for identified work deficiencies and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) as required based on project developments.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in landscaping is required, preferably with professional affiliation or eligibility for membership.
• A minimum of 12+ years of relevant working experience in Landscape/Horticulture Site Supervision, documentation, and site implementation is essential.
• Demonstrated on-site experience in stadium projects within the Mixed-use/Building/Infra sector.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
• Ability to work independently or as part of, or leading, a small team of professionals in the same discipline.
• Proficiency in creating designs relevant to the Middle East environment.

Work Type

This is a full-time position requiring dedicated on-site presence and supervision.
