Mid Level QA Engineer

About the Role

Starlinks is seeking a Mid-Level QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, functionality, and performance of its technology platforms. This full-time role involves systematic testing and quality assurance practices, focusing on designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and validating system integrations. The Mid-Level QA Engineer will collaborate with various cross-functional teams to deliver stable, secure, and high-quality software solutions aligned with Starlinks’ business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and technical documentation to define testing needs and scenarios.
• Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate application workflows, business rules, and data processing across backend services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Execute manual and automated tests according to established QA processes and project timelines.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using issue-tracking tools such as Jira.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate, reproduce, and verify reported defects.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate endpoints, payloads, and error handling.
• Test integrations between internal systems, external services, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Perform database validation using SQL queries to verify data accuracy and consistency.
• Support performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter when required.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and defect triage.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of test results, defects, and quality metrics.

Additional Duties

• Support QA activities during deployments, release validation, and production issue investigations.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist business stakeholders in validating functionalities.
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of automated test suites and regression testing processes.
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows by validating automated test results.
• Ensure testing activities comply with established quality standards, security requirements, and project procedures.

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related field.

Collaboration and Improvement

The Mid-Level QA Engineer will work closely with developers, DevOps, product owners, and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage. This role involves translating functional and technical requirements into clear test scenarios and measurable acceptance criteria, and identifying opportunities to improve test coverage, testing efficiency, and overall software quality.
