Senior Design Manager Public Realm MAS

About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Design Manager - Public Realm to lead the planning, design coordination, and delivery of public realm projects within assigned districts and citywide initiatives. This full-time role, identified as MAS 4004, involves managing consultant teams, providing technical leadership, and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs to ensure designs align with masterplans, standards, and the Public Realm Design Manual (PRDM).

Role Responsibilities

The Senior Design Manager will serve as the primary day-to-day public realm lead for district delivery teams, supporting the Public Realm Director in achieving project outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the Lead Public Realm Design Manager for assigned districts and project portfolios.
• Managing public realm design development through Concept Master Plan (CMP), Detailed Master Plan (DMP), Land Servicing, and detailed design stages.
• Coordinating and reviewing consultant deliverables to ensure compliance with approved masterplans, design standards, and technical requirements.
• Supporting the implementation of citywide public realm strategies, standards, and PRDM requirements.
• Coordinating public realm interfaces with infrastructure, mobility, utilities, irrigation, sustainability, environmental, and operational teams.
• Reviewing design submissions and providing technical recommendations for Stage Gate approvals.
• Monitoring program delivery, design risks, and key project dependencies.
• Supporting procurement activities, consultant management, scope development, and Request for Proposal (RFP) reviews.
• Mentoring junior team members and promoting consistency in public realm delivery and governance.
• Contributing to the development of public realm standards, technical guidance, and best-practice design solutions across the city.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in public realm design and project management. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
