About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a full-time Technician - Carpenter with 2-5 years of experience. This role involves performing a variety of carpentry tasks and general maintenance duties to ensure the upkeep and functionality of the property's structures and finishes.

Key Responsibilities

Build, install, and repair walls and partitions, including drywall, wallpaper, millwork/molding, and faux finishing.
Install and repair various finishes, such as laminates.
Perform rough-in framing for doors, frames, windows, and cabinetry.
Repair, maintain, and construct wood structures including partitions, doors, furniture, and similar items throughout the property.
Execute miscellaneous minor repairs, such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
Order necessary items by completing requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and utilizing appropriate vendors.
Load, transport, and unload freight from elevators to designated areas using a hand truck.

Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
Complete all required safety training and certifications.
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to move up and down a ladder.
