Technician plumber

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Technician - plumber to join its team. This full-time role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing various maintenance issues within the property. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests promptly.
• Communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for proper function.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and ensure thorough cleanup of the work area.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, including plumbing (*, unclogging drains), electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems, and complete safety training.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 0-1 years of experience in general maintenance, with some experience in exterior and interior surface preparation and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• License: Valid Driver’s License.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy conservation.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
