About the Role

Dr Sulaiman AlHabib Medical Centers is seeking a Cath Lab Technician to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves active participation in clinical work within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL), contributing to both diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventional techniques. The technician will be expected to introduce new skills and provide training to other staff members.

Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the clinical operations of the CCL. This includes engaging in a variety of diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventional techniques, which are integral to the routine medical services provided. The Cath Lab Technician will also play a role in staff development through training and skill introduction.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in patient transfer to and from the operating table.
Prepare invasive lines and ensure all vital signs are connected.
Analyze Hemodynamic studies for both adult and pediatric cases.
Contribute to the inventory management of high-cost items.
Track and document all implants used in procedures.
Oversee quality assurance procedures, including radiation protection and quality control of cine film and laser copy processing.
Participate in the departmental research program and receive support for writing and publishing scientific papers using departmental material.
Actively engage in digital catheterization work undertaken by the department.
Take part in all clinical procedures, both diagnostic and interventional, within the CCL, adhering to agreed policies and procedures.
Maintain quality assurance standards and stay updated on developments and techniques in Cardiology Radiology.
Ensure patient and staff protection from unnecessary radiation hazards.
Participate in the departmental rota, which may include single-hand-on-call night shifts.
Introduce new skills and provide training to other staff as required.
Provide patient and family education based on their needs.
Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) at Dr Sulaiman AlHabib Medical Centers. The role involves working as part of a clinical team, participating in a departmental rota that may include night shifts, and engaging in both routine and specialized medical procedures.
