The Role of Data Scientist I

Mozn is seeking a Data Scientist I to join the team. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience who have an interest in Financial Fraud Detection, Sanction Screening, Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) initiatives, and emerging Generative AI technologies. The Data Scientist I will support the development of analytical and AI-driven solutions to detect and prevent fraudulent activities and mitigate AML risks under close guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development of fraud detection, AML, and Generative AI use cases.
Assist in building and testing Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI (GenAI) models, including prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
Prepare, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
Support the training, evaluation, and deployment of ML models.
Assist with experimentation using Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks such as document analysis, alert summarization, or data enrichment.
Execute assigned tasks within project plans under supervision.
Stay informed about industry trends related to fraud, AML, and Generative AI.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the Data Scientist I role should have 0-1 years of relevant experience. A background or demonstrated interest in financial crime prevention domains such as fraud detection, AML, KYC, and sanction screening is beneficial. Familiarity with Generative AI technologies is also relevant for this position.

Work Environment
