About the Role of Director of Food & Beverage

Kempinski Hotel is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage to join their team in a full-time capacity. This role requires an individual who can operate independently, manage challenging situations effectively, and proactively develop practical solutions. The position demands strong communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to foster effective working relationships with hotel staff, clients, and vendors. The successful candidate will also be skilled in task identification and delegation, maintaining a professional, confidential, and ethical approach, and working in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and implement new Talent Development initiatives.
• Identify internal and external talents that align with Kempinski’s DNA values.
• Support career development through training, cross-exposure, task force assignments, and transfers.
• Grow talent to present candidates in quarterly Talent Transfer Calls.
• Meet all new Food & Beverage employees.
• Conduct yearly performance appraisals and TTTT’s (minimum for middle management), providing feedback on job performance.
• Ensure a succession plan is in place to guarantee a seamless, efficient handover for all management positions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to operate computer and office equipment.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the Kempinski Hotel, requiring consistent engagement with hotel staff, clients, and vendors. The role emphasizes a proactive and organized approach to daily operations and talent management.
