Role Overview

The Engineer I Risk will be responsible for supporting the risk management function across various projects. This role involves identifying, assessing, and evaluating project risks to ensure effective management of potential threats and opportunities throughout project lifecycles. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining compliance with organizational frameworks and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities in Risk Management

• Conduct project risk identification, assessment, and evaluation activities to support effective management of threats and opportunities.
• Develop, maintain, and periodically review project risk registers in coordination with project teams, ensuring alignment with corporate and client requirements.
• Perform qualitative risk assessments and support quantitative risk analyses, including schedule and cost risk evaluations.
• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk response and mitigation strategies, ensuring timely closure of assigned actions.
• Facilitate risk workshops, review sessions, and stakeholder meetings to promote proactive risk identification and management.
• Analyze risk trends, emerging threats, and changes in project risk exposure, providing recommendations for informed decision-making.
• Prepare and present risk reports, dashboards, risk heat maps, and management presentations summarizing key risks and mitigation status.
• Coordinate with project controls, engineering, construction, commercial, and project management teams to integrate risk management into project planning and delivery.
• Provide input to monthly project reports regarding key project risks, opportunities, mitigation progress, and overall risk profile.
• Ensure compliance with organizational risk management frameworks, client requirements, industry standards, and applicable governance procedures.
• Support the continuous improvement of risk management tools, methodologies, reporting processes, and lessons learned practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members in risk management activities and promote risk awareness across project teams.
