Role Overview

KBR is seeking an Instrument Technician II to join its team in the Eastern region. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the reliability and availability of instrument assets, which are essential for maintaining the operation of process units. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the maintenance technician's team, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficient execution of breakdown maintenance on Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Oversee the execution of monthly and weekly maintenance plans, controlling and submitting regular progress reports.
• Provide onsite maintenance and repairs for various types of instruments, including generators, transformers, and motors. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer's recommendations, and contract terms.
• Act as the focal point for daily Instrument maintenance execution, leading and supervising technicians' activities on all Instrument systems, plant, equipment, and facilities within the designated area.
• Conduct frequent site visits to verify proper work execution and monitor technicians engaged in routine maintenance activities.
• Follow up on Instrument maintenance work progress, submit regular progress reports with recommendations to the Instrument foreman, and maintain records of daily maintenance works against planned programs, preparing completion reports as applicable.
• Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by providing recommendations to improve the suitability and serviceability of Instrument systems.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 2-5 years of experience as an Instrument Technician.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate maintenance teams.
• Proficiency in onsite maintenance and repair of various instruments.
• Strong understanding of maintenance standards, safety procedures, and manufacturer's recommendations.
• Proactive safety aptitude and behavior.
• Ability to prepare and submit detailed progress and work completion reports.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Eastern region, involving regular site visits and direct supervision of maintenance activities. The role requires adherence to best and safe maintenance practices in a dynamic operational environment.
