R&D Automation Systems Engineer

About the Role

Saudi Air Navigation Services is seeking an R&D Automation Systems Engineer to support initiatives related to the deployment of next-generation Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems. This is a full-time position in Saudi Arabia, suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to and support R&D initiatives focused on advanced Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems. The engineer will ensure that these systems align with SANS operational needs, enabling the delivery of Air Traffic Control services in a manner that is safe, efficient, scalable, and cyber-resilient. All activities will be conducted within established KPIs, agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document complex system requirements for R&D initiatives.
• Participate in thorough evaluations of potential vendors and their solutions.
• Support the testing and validation processes for cloud-native, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) platforms.
• Ensure system developments meet SANS operational requirements for safe and efficient Air Traffic Control services.
• Contribute to the development of scalable and cyber-resilient ATM systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and document technical requirements.
• Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and cloud-native platforms is beneficial.
• Experience or knowledge in system testing and validation processes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, contributing to a team focused on advanced Air Traffic Management technologies.
