Senior Housekeeper Supervisor

About the Role

As a Senior Housekeeper Supervisor at Sheraton, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and condition of assigned areas, ensuring high standards are consistently met. This full-time role also involves supporting management with various employee-related tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of housekeeping operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter the status of cleaned rooms and complete checklists to report the cleanliness and condition of each assigned area.
• Complete required Housekeeping paperwork and identify room assignments and the type of cleaning required for each room.
• Inspect guest rooms after they have been cleaned by housekeepers.
• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Enter guest rooms following established procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entry.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team to reach common goals; and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Ability to visually verify and interpret written documents.
