About the Role

Samaya Investment Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to join its team in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supervising, coordinating, and managing all mechanical works for a significant cultural project, encompassing both fit-out and operational phases. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Mechanical Engineering Specialist will be responsible for overseeing various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and building management systems. A core aspect of this role is ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, quality standards, established schedules, and all safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals for all mechanical systems.
• Ensure mechanical systems are designed and installed in line with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international museum standards.
• Provide technical support to resolve site issues and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Oversee the execution of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works.
• Monitor installation activities to ensure compliance with specifications, quality, and safety requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and prepare snag lists to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Coordination and Interface Management

• Coordinate with electrical and architectural teams to resolve MEP interface issues.
• Support the Construction Manager in managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend coordination meetings and report on progress, risks, and issues.

Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

• Supervise testing and commissioning of all mechanical systems.
• Ensure O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and training sessions are delivered as per contract requirements.
• Support project close-out, defect rectification, and handover to client representatives.
