About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Purchaser to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time position involves managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the accurate receipt and tracking of goods, particularly within food-related areas. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
• Maintain clear and organized records for reports and invoices.
• Post invoices using computer programs and conduct inventory audits.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management of low stock levels.
• Verify, track, and reconcile received inventory with shipping invoices and receiving reports.
• Receive, unload, and process deliveries, refusing damaged or incorrect items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures, monitoring PAR levels for all food items.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally and prepare accurate written documents.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and move over uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for inventory and costs.
• Proficiency in using computer programs for invoice posting and record keeping.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
• Understanding of food safety and handling policies and procedures.
