Libera Consultants is partnering with a leading organization in the energy/industrial sector to recruit a Chief Electrical Engineer. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern region, and involves leading and overseeing large-scale electrical engineering projects. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure accurate implementation of project designs.
• Lead and manage the work of Lead Engineers across multiple projects.
• Prepare and review electrical engineering studies, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges in line with international codes and standards.
• Define project scope, objectives, and priorities.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor departmental workload.
• Establish and maintain procedures, methods, and quality controls.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Liaise with internal teams and external clients.

Leadership and Team Management

• Manage, mentor, and develop the Electrical Engineering team.
• Support recruitment, training, and performance management initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental budgeting and resource planning.
• Review performance and recommend salary adjustments.
• Approve timesheets and oversee team productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Minimum of 25 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure projects.
• Recognized as a specialist on large to mega-scale projects.

Required Expertise

• Strong expertise in electrical engineering design and practices.
• Proficiency in protection systems and calculations.
• In-depth knowledge of international codes, standards, and specifications.
