About DeepSource Technologies and the Role

DeepSource Technologies is seeking a Dell Storage & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar, KSA. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on the administration, implementation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of Dell enterprise storage, backup, cyber recovery, Tape library, and server infrastructure.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in Dell storage technologies, backup solutions, VMware virtualization, and enterprise server hardware. This position is critical for supporting mission-critical environments and ensuring the reliability and performance of our infrastructure in compliance with enterprise operational and security standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support Dell PowerScale (Isilon) clustered NAS storage, including installation, expansion, OneFS upgrades, firmware updates, and management of features like SmartPools, SmartQuotas, and SyncIQ.
• Provision and manage NFS, SMB/CIFS, FTP, and HDFS file services, configuring replication between production and disaster recovery sites for high availability and data protection.
• Administer, configure, install, and support Dell PowerStore and Dell PowerMax enterprise storage platforms, managing provisioning, host integration, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Handle storage pools, volumes, snapshots, thin provisioning, and replication technologies (native, Metro, SRDF), performing firmware upgrades and capacity planning.
• Configure and maintain SAN infrastructure, including Brocade Fibre Channel switches, zoning, VSANs, alias management, NPIV, port administration, and multipathing configuration and troubleshooting.
• Administer, install, configure, and support Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell MX7000 modular infrastructure, performing server provisioning, hardware installation, BIOS, RAID, iDRAC, and Lifecycle Controller configuration.
• Manage Dell MX7000 chassis, compute sleds, fabric modules, and server profiles using OpenManage Enterprise and OpenManage Enterprise Modular.
• Administer, configure, and support Dell Data Domain and Dell Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS), managing Data Domain appliances, MTrees, DD Boost, replication, retention policies, and immutable storage.
• Deploy and maintain Cyber Recovery Vault, Cyber Recovery policies, orchestration workflows, and air-gapped recovery environments integrated with Data Domain and CyberSense.
• Perform backup integrity validation, cyber recovery testing, ransomware recovery exercises, software and firmware upgrades, health monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with server, virtualization, backup, and networking teams to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and adherence to enterprise infrastructure standards and best practices.

Required Technical Expertise

• Strong expertise in Dell storage technologies, including PowerScale (Isilon), PowerStore, and PowerMax.
• Proficiency in SAN infrastructure management, specifically Brocade Fibre Channel switches, zoning, and multipathing.
• Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell MX7000 modular infrastructure, including BIOS, RAID, iDRAC, and OpenManage Enterprise.
• Knowledge of Dell Data Domain and Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS), including DD Boost, Cyber Recovery Vault, and CyberSense integration.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi deployments and administration.
• Ability to perform health monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for Dell storage and server environments.

Qualifications and Additional Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant Dell infrastructure or storage engineering role.
• Demonstrated skills in VMware administration.
• Experience with NetWorker L1 Support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient services.
