Finance Controller

About the Role

Alpha Leadership Co. is seeking a Finance Controller to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This is a full-time senior technical oversight role within the Finance function, focusing on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the Group's financial statements and reporting.

Role Purpose

The Finance Controller is accountable for the technical accuracy and compliance of the Group's financial statements. The role involves overseeing financial controls, statutory reporting, and audit processes, working closely with the CFO and senior finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of the Group's monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards for accurate and reliable reporting.
• Lead the Group's external audit process by coordinating with external auditors and providing required documentation to ensure smooth and timely audit completion.
• Design and monitor the Group's internal financial controls framework through regular control reviews, safeguarding assets and protecting the integrity of financial reporting.
• Oversee statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements, including zakat and tax filings, coordinating with relevant advisors to ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Review and approve significant accounting judgments and estimates, such as provisions and impairments, applying technical accounting expertise for appropriate and consistent treatment.
• Lead the consolidation of financial results across Group entities, overseeing intercompany eliminations and adjustments to produce accurate consolidated financial statements.
• Support the CFO and the Finance Operations Manager on technical accounting matters and process improvements, providing expert guidance to strengthen overall financial reporting quality.
• Build a competent and efficient Financial Control function, focusing on developing Saudi national talent in line with applicable labor laws, by attracting suitable talent and growing the internal pipeline.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant finance role.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, external audit management, and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
• Experience with statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
