System Operation Specialist at Almarai

Almarai, the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company and a leading food and beverage manufacturer in the MENA region, is seeking a System Operation Specialist to join its team. This full-time position is based in Al Kharj, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of warehousing operations.

Purpose of the Role

The System Operation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective operation of all automated and non-automated warehousing materials handling equipment and systems. This role directly supports Almarai's business requirements by minimizing downtime and optimizing operational performance within the logistics framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repair and maintenance of automated material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults efficiently.
• Provide support to installation teams during the preparation and setup of automatic materials handling equipment.
• Assist operations with the recovery and resolution of both short-term and long-term equipment faults and stoppages.
• Report on breakdown resolutions and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-1 year of proven experience with industrial automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC programming (*, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider).
• Experience in control systems design, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
