About the Role

SAMI Airbus is seeking a Senior Technical Services Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, with operations extending to Al-Kharj. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring optimal in-service maintenance solutions for our customer's A330MRTT fleet. The primary objective of this role is to provide comprehensive engineering and technical support to the MRO Depot maintenance activities, thereby maintaining the airworthiness of the fleet in strict accordance with manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support to MRO and other relevant departments during aircraft maintenance checks at both Airframe and Component levels, with strong expertise in Aircraft Systems, Avionics, and Powerplant systems.
• Review and ensure compliance of customer-specified works, including AD, SB, VSB, MPD tasks, and other technical publications, for proper embodiment during maintenance checks. Prepare Engineering Orders (EO) and Job Instruction documents as required.
• Offer technical support to other departments concerning Spare Parts, Modification Kits, Materials, and Tools.
• Navigate OEM portals to retrieve applicable technical publication data necessary for maintenance checks.
• Review and resolve technical queries arising from routine or non-routine tasks that necessitate further technical support from Engineering or the OEM.
• Report damage mapping and in-service issues to the OEM through Tech Request Dossiers and Service Requests, subsequently obtaining approved maintenance data and documents.
• Define the scope of work through 'Statement of Work' documents for maintenance and inspection tasks sub-contracted to working parties or service providers.
• Specify appropriate tooling and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) required during maintenance checks, and propose or define alternate tooling solutions within the EASA framework.
• Prepare capability development plans and obtain approvals for in-house shop repairs and inspections.
• Ensure mandatory and non-mandatory retrofits and modifications are performed on aircraft and components, and report their embodiment to the Customer or OEM as necessary.
• Collaborate with the planning department to establish control documents for Deferrals, Inspection Requirements, Aircraft Damage Charts, and Structural Inspection Requirements.
• Represent the department in inter-department meetings, provide updates on the DeMAT management system, highlight or escalate issues as necessary, and perform other tasks as delegated by the Technical Director or assigned Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Type Trainings (Level 1) for A320, A330, A340, A330MRTT, or GE CF6-80E1 engines.
• Proficiency in the English language, specifically in technical and aeronautical contexts.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in reading and interpreting Maintenance Manuals (Aircraft, Engine, Component), OEM portals (*, AirbusWorld), and various Technical Publications (AD, SB, VSB, SIL, ISI, TFU).
• Advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite.

Experience and Technical Expertise

• At least five (5) years of relevant work experience in aviation, specifically as a CAMO Engineer or MRO Technical Support Engineer.
• A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must be in engineering and maintenance for an OEM or the Airbus A320/A330/A340 Family, with a preference for experience on Airbus Military platforms such as A330MRTT or A400M.
• Thorough knowledge of Part 145 and Part M (Part-CAMO / Part-CAO) regulations under EASA, FAA, or GACA.
• Previous training in critical aviation safety areas including CDCCL/Fuel Tank Safety, CAME, EWIS, Human Factors, and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
