The Role of Senior Loss Prevention Engineer

Penspen is seeking a Senior Loss Prevention Engineer for an offshore, full-time position in Al Khafji, Eastern region. This role requires over 10 years of experience and involves critical responsibilities in ensuring technical safety within projects. The Senior Loss Prevention Engineer will report to either the FEED/Technical Leader, if part of the Core Technical team, or to the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer within the PMT Teams. Collaboration with other discipline personnel in the Technical Core Team or PMT teams will be essential, as appropriate to the area of service.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that recommendations from Pre-FEED/EPC Preliminary Hazard Assessments are incorporated into FEED/EPC deliverables.
Check, review, and approve all technical safety deliverables provided by the FEED/EPC contractor.
Review and approve fire water network calculations and fire water demand assessments.
Review and approve fire and gas detection systems.
Review and approve passive fire protection systems.
Review and approve fire water tanks, pumps, and water mist systems.

Required Qualifications and Skills

A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
Computer literate with proficiency in all MS Packages, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, offshore position based in Al Khafji, Eastern region. The role involves working within either a Core Technical team or PMT Teams, requiring close collaboration with various discipline personnel to ensure project safety standards are met.
