About the Opportunity

Batterjee Medical College, located in Dammam, Eastern region, is seeking a Faculty Member in Anatomy to join its General Medicine Program. This full-time role is designed for professionals with 2-5 years of experience in a relevant academic or medical setting. The position is critical for delivering high-quality medical education, supporting student development, and contributing to the college's research and academic excellence in line with accreditation standards.

Teaching and Student Development

The primary focus of this role involves delivering comprehensive anatomical education and providing robust support to medical students.

• Deliver Anatomy lectures, laboratory sessions, and tutorials to medical students.
• Teach core areas including Gross Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, and Neuroanatomy (as applicable).
• Facilitate practical sessions using dissection, anatomical models, or virtual laboratories.
• Apply student-centered and integrated teaching approaches, such as Case-Based Learning (CBL) or Problem-Based Learning (PBL) where applicable.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (*, Blackboard) and digital tools effectively for instruction.
• Prepare and administer student assessments, including through platforms like ExamSoft.
• Maintain accurate academic records, including attendance, grades, and reports.
• Provide academic advising and mentoring to students.
• Support students in understanding complex anatomical concepts and monitor their progress.
• Provide timely feedback to students on their academic performance.

Research and Academic Contribution

This role also requires active engagement in scholarly activities, research, and maintaining high academic standards within the program.

• Conduct and publish research in anatomy or related medical fields.
• Participate in academic conferences and research initiatives.
• Contribute to the research culture within the General Medicine Program.
• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (*, NCAAA).
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement efforts.
• Prepare and submit required course and program reports.
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees.
• Collaborate with clinical and basic science faculty for integrated teaching approaches.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Faculty Member position should possess a strong academic background in Anatomy and relevant professional experience.

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in an academic or clinical setting related to Anatomy or General Medicine practice.
• Demonstrated expertise in the field of Anatomy, suitable for teaching at a medical college level.
• Ability to meet the requirements for a Faculty Member role at Batterjee Medical College.
