About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join its operations in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is an opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience to contribute to the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety within the workshop environment.

Key Duties and Tasks

The Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for performing various mechanical tasks, including:

• Assisting in brake repair and overhauling procedures.
• Supporting mechanical troubleshooting efforts for heavy equipment.
• Assisting with tire repairs and replacements.
• Performing welding jobs as required by operational needs.
• Contributing to all mechanical repairs for trucks and flatbeds.
• Ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained in the work area.
• Confirming that all tools are properly kept and stored after use.
• Executing other related jobs that may be assigned by supervisors.

Health, Safety, and Environment Responsibilities

Adherence to safety protocols is paramount. The role requires commitment to organizational HS&E policies and practices, including:

• Understanding and following all organizational Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies.
• Adhering to specific safety instructions related to assigned tasks.
• Reporting damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machines, or equipment to concerned staff.
• Maintaining provided PPE in good, workable conditions.
• Avoiding any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
• Reporting any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible personnel.
• Attending all planned safety trainings.
• Exercising the right to refuse any unsafe work.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of experience in heavy-duty mechanical work. A foundational understanding of vehicle mechanics, diagnostic procedures, and workshop safety protocols is essential for effectively performing the duties associated with this position.
