Inventory Specialist

About the Role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves supporting the development and administration of inventory management plans and processes. The specialist will focus on identifying, evaluating, and developing the organization's inventories through analysis and operation of the replenishment system, ensuring alignment with business strategy, objectives, and corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and administration of inventory management plans and processes.
• Implement inventory tracking systems to optimize control procedures.
• Execute plans to optimize inventory, aiming to reduce out-of-stock situations while minimizing unhealthy and unsellable stock.
• Manage the end-to-end movement of stock and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement inventory management plans to monitor the accuracy of weekly data, history, network changes, lead-times, promotional events, new product information, pricing, and customer service performance goals.
• Maintain detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
• Collaborate with various warehouse teams and other supply chain functions, including logistics and sourcing.
• Reconcile daily deliveries and shipments to ensure accurate inventory records.

Stakeholder Interaction

The Inventory Specialist will primarily interact with colleagues within their own function. The role involves building relationships and understanding the interests and concerns of customers and key stakeholders. The specialist will also address task-related issues appropriately to maintain effective work relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to support the development and administration of inventory management plans.
• Experience with implementing inventory tracking systems.
• Proficiency in managing stock movement and reconciling discrepancies.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring inventory data and performance goals.

Work Environment

This is a full-time individual contributor role within DHL Global Forwarding, operating in a global company environment. The position is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
