About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Machinist for a full-time position in Dammam, Eastern Region. This role involves supporting machining and finishing operations on gas turbine components, focusing on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience and contribute to Lean implementation initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

The Machinist will be responsible for executing various machining and finishing processes, adhering to quality standards, and supporting operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing machining operations and operating machines such as EDM, MKG, CNC, and auto polishers according to approved work instructions and specifications.
• Reading and interpreting work instructions, quality forms, technical documentation, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate process execution.
• Recording and maintaining accurate process and inspection data.
• Setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC, EDM, laser, polishing, and inspection equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspecting parts before and after machining, cleaning, polishing, and inspection processes to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
• Adhering to Standard Work and Standard Work Combination Sheets to ensure consistency, quality, safety, and efficient line flow.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Demonstrating a strong understanding and application of Lean principles in daily work activities.
• Performing grit blasting if required.
• Identifying and communicating opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, cycle time, flow, and waste reduction.
• Supporting improvements in standard work, line organization, visual management, and process discipline to strengthen overall Lean implementation.
• Contributing to team efforts that improve line performance, operational efficiency, and overall shop productivity.
• Working within takt time and standard process flow expectations to support production goals.
• Using shop floor systems and interfaces such as ELM and SmartShop as required.
• Complying with company quality policies, safety requirements, applicable procedures, and standard work.

Required Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
