Operator Heavy Equipment

About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Dammam. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, including Bobcats.

Key Responsibilities

• Check and report the safe working condition of the Bobcat/equipment before operation.
• Clean the air filter, radiator, and engine using compressed air at the start of each shift.
• Monitor hydraulic oil, engine oil, and diesel levels, requesting top-ups as needed.
• Perform daily routine checks of equipment and complete the corresponding checklist.
• Report any equipment problems to the Shift Inspector or Foreman.
• Push leftover scattered scrap/spillages and trash to the designated disposal area, following instructions from the Shift Inspector or Foreman.
• Shift accumulated sand/dust after magnetic separation or screening processes.
• Clear spilled and scattered scrap from the Scrap Yard Gantry area and Open Yard pathways.
• Coordinate with the Automobile workshop to ensure timely and regular repair and periodic maintenance.
• Ensure the safety of the equipment by operating it carefully, avoiding damages and breakdowns, and adhering to OEM operating guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Safety and Compliance

• Understand and comply with organizational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies.
• Follow all safety instructions relevant to assigned tasks.
• Report damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machines, or equipment to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain provided PPE in good, workable condition.
• Refrain from horseplay and misuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
• Report any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible personnel.
• Attend all scheduled safety trainings.
• Exercise the right to refuse any unsafe work.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation. A strong understanding of equipment safety protocols and maintenance checks is essential for this role.

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring adherence to strict safety guidelines and coordination with various team members to ensure efficient operations within the scrap yard and related areas.
