About the Senior Quality Control Technician Role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Quality Control Technician to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position is critical for maintaining high-quality standards through diligent inspection and reporting processes. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in quality control, focusing on ensuring product and material compliance.

Role Overview and Core Function

The Senior Quality Control Technician is primarily responsible for executing incoming inspection protocols with precision. This involves meticulously reporting all findings and results within SAP. A key function of the role is to ensure that compliant components are properly labeled with identification tags, while non-compliant materials are promptly restrained in dedicated areas. The technician will also initiate the supplier non-conformance management process to address and report issues back to suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement HSE requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of purchased parts, materials, samples, and assemblies.
• Document inspection results accurately and as required by procedures.
• Report any deviations observed during incoming inspection to the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
• Create quality inspection records and apply visual indications on inspected parts according to established procedures.
• Generate Nonconformity reports and diligently track their status.
• Record and track the daily Incoming Quality Control (IQC) inspection backlog.
• Maintain traceability of component materials based on their inspection status.
• Handle materials in accordance with procedures to prevent mix-ups, damage, or other adverse effects.
• Log and track materials throughout the receiving inspection process and ensure accurate SAP entries.
• Record transactions and facilitate the movement of accepted materials to their designated area.
• Communicate inspection results effectively to Quality Engineers and other relevant personnel.

Technical Support and Collaboration

• Refer to and verify assembly documentation accuracy, including reading engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with other departments for deviation detection, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective measures.
• Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, site visits, reporting, and quality processes, utilizing the A3 template for analysis.
• Perform any other projects or duties as assigned by management to fulfill job requirements.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the Senior Quality Control Technician position must possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in quality control, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. A proven track record in executing inspection protocols and managing non-conformances is essential.
