Team Lead Operation Quality

About the Role

Hitachi is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Team Lead - Operation Quality. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and requires 8-10 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will apply practical knowledge in a high-quality manufacturing or assembly environment, focusing on delivering world-class quality and driving continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality engineers and technicians, including planning and implementing team development and achieving performance goals.
• Arrange and perform shop floor activities related to quality checking of products, incoming material quality, production, and testing processes.
• Take responsibility for process development, procedures, templates, and working instructions concerning operations quality and incoming quality.
• Collaborate with and empower all departments for deviation detection, nonconformance follow-ups, root cause analysis, correction measures implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support in resolving quality issues from the GIS assembly line or site, and follow up on NCR-related improvement actions.
• Attend and participate in internal or external audits (ISO, Hitachi Energy, Customer), working with all departments to close findings and implement improvements.
• Participate in organizational changes and lean culture implementation within the Business Unit.
• Implement and monitor the quality strategy for materials, customer complaints, and processes using predefined quality KPIs.
• Arrange and perform failure analysis, prepare reports using 8D templates or similar, and maintain a safe environment by implementing HSE requirements.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and follow up on corrective actions related to NCRs, CCRPs, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve HV Site Non-conformance issues.
• Proven experience in a high-quality manufacturing or assembly environment.
