About the Role

VHR Global Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Avionics Manager to oversee avionics maintenance operations. This full-time position is based in the Middle East (Non-UAE) within a large aircraft MRO environment. The successful candidate will lead avionics teams and ensure operational excellence across Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft programmes.

Role Context

The Avionics Manager will be responsible for managing avionics teams, overseeing base and heavy maintenance activities, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance. This role is critical for maintaining high standards of aircraft maintenance within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop avionics supervisors, certifying staff, and technicians.
Manage manpower planning and resource allocation for base and heavy maintenance inputs.
Oversee troubleshooting, repair, modification, and installation of avionics systems.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved data, company procedures, and aviation regulations.
Coordinate closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
Support audits, corrective actions, SMS requirements, and release-to-service processes.
Monitor KPIs, productivity, and maintenance performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Support AOG recovery activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in avionics management within an MRO environment.
Demonstrated experience with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft programmes is required.
A strong understanding of aviation regulations and compliance is essential.
