The Role of Corporate HSE Manager

Aljomaih Energy & Water is seeking a Corporate HSE Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time leadership position is central to shaping and strengthening the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) framework. The role involves developing, enhancing, and ensuring full compliance of all HSE policies and procedures with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements across both existing operational assets and new project investments from their construction phases through to commercial operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement HSE policies and procedures, conducting regular site audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with Project Companies, O&M Companies, and EPC Contractors to ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.
  • Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation; develop and implement emergency response plans.
  • Conduct HSE training sessions for project personnel and contractors, promoting a strong safety and learning culture.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions, maintaining detailed records.
  • Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to project management, maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and training sessions.
  • Ensure all project and asset activities comply with relevant HSE legislation and standards, collaborating with regulatory authorities for necessary permitting.
  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures, coordinate drills, and liaise with local emergency services.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage Return of Experience (RoE) and Lessons Learned processes, ensuring insights are captured, analyzed, and shared effectively using smart tools.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role are required to possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive HSE frameworks, leading HSE audits, conducting training programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in coordinating Return of Experience (RoE) and Lessons Learned processes is also essential.
