About Kudu Company and the Role

Kudu Company for Food and Catering, a leading organization in the food and catering sector, is seeking a skilled Cost Controller to join its full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role is designed to oversee and manage all aspects of product costing, inventory control, and comprehensive cost analysis, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency within the company.

Role Overview

The selected Cost Controller will be instrumental in maintaining robust financial controls by ensuring accurate costing methodologies are applied across all products and menu items. Responsibilities extend to diligently monitoring production and inventory variances, providing critical support for financial reporting processes, and actively contributing to strategic initiatives focused on cost optimization and waste reduction across operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Bills of Material (BOMs), standard costs, and product costing records.
• Manage costing for new products and menu items before their official launch.
• Analyze cost, yield, usage, and price variances to identify discrepancies and trends.
• Monitor production consumption, wastage, and inventory movements across all stages.
• Review and reconcile inventory, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and various costing accounts.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and process necessary inventory adjustments.
• Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory, recommending appropriate provisions.
• Support monthly costing reconciliations, transfer pricing, and overall financial reporting.
• Prepare costing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and management reports for informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Cost Controller position must possess 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in a relevant costing or financial control role. Preference will be given to individuals with a proven background in industries such as Food Manufacturing, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Production, or Restaurant Operations, demonstrating a clear understanding of sector-specific costing challenges.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the operational framework of Kudu Company for Food and Catering. The role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
