About the Role

Essity Aktiebolag is seeking an experienced Customer Marketing Manager to lead and expand its Personal Care business across the Middle East region. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involves implementing a customer marketing approach and managing category management and trade marketing activities.

Role Context and Strategic Impact

As a key leadership role, the Customer Marketing Manager will accelerate the growth of the Personal Care business through strategic marketing and strong commercial partnerships. This individual will be an integral member of the local Middle East & Africa leadership team, responsible for developing and executing impactful customer marketing initiatives that drive value, strengthen brand presence, and achieve sustainable business results. The role translates market and customer insights into effective activation plans, supporting product launches, promotional campaigns, customer engagement programs, and sales enablement activities. This position leads a team of three (3) and reports to the Commercial Director - Middle East & Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the implementation of customer-specific shopper activation plans, including promotion management, product launch and re-launch, communication to customers and shoppers, and input into account planning.
• Develop and lead Category Management activities to succeed in prioritized channels with prioritized customers, fostering internal alignment and building partnerships with distributors and retailers.
• Lead the e-commerce strategy and execution across key customers, driving online visibility, conversion, and sustainable growth.
• Drive and implement category management processes, including category planning, input into pricing strategy, recommending category promotion strategy, merchandising/planograming, assortment/MSLs, and customer marketing planning.
• Translate consumer strategy into effective shopper plans and activities, such as the execution of consumer promotions in-store.
• Secure the development of tailored customer marketing plans for all accounts, negotiate and implement these plans, and advise customers on strategies to grow their category sales.
• Ensure a robust ROI model is implemented, including setting KPIs for relevant dimensions (*, categories, channels, customers, and/or promotions), with evaluation and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Provide insights from local markets regarding retailer and shopper dimensions to support overall insight generation and contribute to consumer and/or brand strategy.
• Plan and manage related budgets.
• Facilitate cross-functional relationships and contribute to best practice sharing, networks, and projects.
• Lead, direct, and develop a team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience of 5-10 years within Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, Category Management, Commercial Marketing, or related areas.
• Experience ideally within consumer goods, FMCG, or B2B sectors.
• Experience across the Middle East markets in consumer-oriented industries or businesses is considered an advantage.
