The Role: Electrical Engineering Technician

SAUDICO is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position provides essential technical support for the installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on various projects. The technician ensures that all work adheres to approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and executing electrical works at the site.
• Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Inspect cable trays, conduits, wiring, lighting systems, electrical panels, and distribution boards.
• Ensure that electrical installations comply with approved shop drawings.
• Assist in testing and commissioning electrical systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and mechanical teams to prevent installation conflicts.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain inspection and testing records.
• Identify electrical defects and observations, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing red-line drawings and as-built drawings.
• Ensure that approved electrical materials and equipment are used.
• Comply with electrical safety procedures and project requirements.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess:

• A Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Experience ranging from a fresh graduate up to 5 years in electrical works or construction projects.

Essential Skills and Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, inspection procedures, and testing requirements.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in electrical installation and inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of electrical safety requirements.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
