Instructor Pilot (Basic)

About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking an Instructor Pilot (Basic) to join their team in Al Majma'ah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves instructing on the PC-21 aircraft as part of BAE Systems' commitment to providing flying training for Royal Saudi Air Force Pilots under a Government-to-Government arrangement.

Role Context

As the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor, BAE Systems provides equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. This position contributes directly to the flying training program for Royal Saudi Air Force cadets, operating within established training syllabi.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Head of Flying (KFAA).
• Conduct flying instructional missions for cadets.
• Ensure all instruction adheres to the appropriate Royal Saudi Air Force training syllabi.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Highly experienced military or ex-military Flying Instructor.
• Possession of an RAF A2 instructor qualification (or equivalent) for Basic instruction.
• A minimum of 1500 total flying hours, with at least 800 hours on fixed-wing aircraft.
• A minimum of 400 total Basic flying instructional hours.
• Demonstrated competencies in people development.
• High levels of interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate, influence, and direct Saudi cadets both in the air and on the ground.
