Laika is a legal AI platform specializing in Saudi law, designed to support legal professionals in their daily work. The product is currently live and utilized by lawyers for research, drafting, and review in both Arabic and English, ensuring that all outputs are traceable to their original sources.

The Product Engineer Role

As a Product Engineer at Laika, you will be responsible for building and enhancing the entire product surface. This includes the user interface, user experience flows, and ensuring the system operates with speed and reliability across two languages. The scope of this role will evolve with the company's growth, requiring strong judgment and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy the product used daily by lawyers, collaborating with the founders and the Head of AI on an existing live system.
• Develop user workflows within Laika, supporting both Arabic and English, and accommodating right-to-left and left-to-right interfaces, from initial query to final document generation.
• Minimize the time between identifying a problem and implementing a solution in production. This involves shipping features, monitoring their usage, and iterating based on feedback.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in full-stack engineering.
• Attention to detail in user-facing aspects of the product.
• Comfortable working in an environment where precision is critical.
• Ability to make independent decisions on development priorities when specifications are not formally defined.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Laika's office in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with flexibility for remote work arrangements. Saudi nationals are encouraged to apply.
