Accor is seeking a Purchasing Manager for Basiqat by Mantis, an upcoming luxury eco-resort in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Operating under Mantis, part of the Accor Group, Basiqat by Mantis is currently in its pre-opening phase. The resort aims to offer a distinctive hospitality experience that integrates luxury, nature, sustainability, and local culture. This full-time role is crucial for the successful launch of this new destination.

Role Summary

The Purchasing Manager will join the pre-opening team to oversee all purchasing and procurement activities. This role involves ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality goods, materials, equipment, and services while maintaining cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and brand standards. The successful candidate will establish procurement procedures, develop supplier relationships, manage purchasing budgets, and coordinate the acquisition of operational supplies and equipment necessary for the resort's opening.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee all purchasing activities in accordance with company policies, approved budgets, and Accor procurement standards.
• Manage the procurement of goods, materials, equipment, and services for all operational departments.
• Ensure timely sourcing and delivery of products that meet quality, sustainability, and operational requirements.
• Review purchase requisitions, obtain competitive quotations, and prepare purchase orders.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor procurement expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Develop and implement the resort's pre-opening procurement plan, coordinating with the Director of Finance and department heads.
• Coordinate the sourcing and purchasing of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E), Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E), and other pre-opening requirements.
• Establish a network of local and international suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
• Manage the implementation and effective use of FutureLog, ensuring proper purchasing workflows and system compliance.
• Monitor purchase commitments against approved budgets and report on outstanding orders and expenditures.
• Ensure proper supplier due diligence, including commercial registration, VAT documentation, and banking verification.
• Promote competitive local sourcing and the use of Made in Saudi products.
• Ensure compliance with Accor procurement policies, authorization limits, and segregation of duties, maintaining transparency and audit trails.
• Support the resort's sustainability objectives through responsible sourcing and procurement practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi Arabian regulations and internal purchasing policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Previous experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or internationally recognized hospitality brands is preferred.
• Prior hotel or resort pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of hospitality purchasing operations, supplier management, and procurement procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing FF&E, OS&E, and operational supplies.
• Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian supplier market, procurement practices, and applicable regulations.
• Experience with purchasing systems, ERP platforms, and inventory management software.
• Professional procurement certifications such as CIPS or equivalent are an advantage.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the pre-opening team for Basiqat by Mantis. The role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure procurement readiness and operational success.
