The specialist will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographs, maintaining X-ray equipment, and managing radiology-related documentation, all while ensuring adherence to clinic regulations.

Core Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Radiology Technique Specialist involve the execution of radiological procedures and the operational upkeep of the radiology department. This includes:

• Performing diagnostic radiographs as required.
• Conducting daily maintenance checks on X-ray equipment and examination rooms.
• Handling all radiology requests, reports, and X-ray films accurately and efficiently.
• Ensuring strict compliance with all applicable clinic rules and regulations.

Patient Interaction and Preparation

A key aspect of this role involves direct patient interaction, focusing on preparation and comfort during procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients for radiological procedures through proper positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting equipment controls for optimal exposure factors.
• Facilitating patient cooperation by addressing anxieties, providing clear explanations of the treatment process, and answering any questions they may have.

Radiological Procedures and Quality Assurance

The specialist is responsible for the technical execution of radiological procedures and maintaining high standards of image quality and safety:

• Minimizing radiation exposure for both patients and staff by implementing radiation protection techniques, utilizing beam restrictive devices, and applying patient shielding.
• Maintaining the consistent production and quality of radiographs by adhering to established standards and procedures, developing radiographs, observing results, and making necessary adjustments.
