About Neoleap and the Role

Neoleap is seeking a dedicated SOC Security Operations Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to our cybersecurity defense, focusing on the continuous monitoring and response to security threats. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant cybersecurity operations capacity.

Role Overview

The SOC Security Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity events and incidents. This involves ensuring the timely detection, containment, and escalation of security threats, thereby maintaining continuous security monitoring operations to protect organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events generated by SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and other security technologies.
• Investigate security alerts to determine validity, severity, and potential business impact.
• Respond to cybersecurity incidents in accordance with established incident response procedures.
• Escalate complex security incidents to senior cybersecurity personnel when appropriate.
• Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify suspicious behavior.
• Analyze malware, phishing attempts, and suspicious activities affecting the organization.
• Document investigations, response activities, and lessons learned.
• Support forensic investigations by collecting and preserving digital evidence.
• Maintain SOC operational documentation, playbooks, and incident records.
• Coordinate with IT teams during containment and recovery activities.
• Monitor compliance with SOC operational procedures and SLAs.
• Participate in vulnerability and threat management activities as required.
• Prepare operational reports and security metrics for management review.
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and attack techniques.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within SOC operations.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in security operations, incident response, or a closely related cybersecurity field. Demonstrated experience with the tools and processes mentioned in the responsibilities section is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in our offices in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The specialist will work as part of a dedicated Security Operations Center team, collaborating with various IT and security personnel.
