TawanTech is seeking a Senior Systematics Support Engineer (ALS) to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role focuses on providing critical operational support for mission-critical Systematics ALS (Asset & Liability System) applications that run on IBM Mainframe (z/OS) environments. The position is integral to maintaining the stability and performance of essential banking operations.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the continuous availability, stability, and optimal performance of critical banking batch and online processing systems. Operating within a 24x7 production support framework, the engineer will be responsible for leading production incident resolution, closely monitoring End-of-Day (EOD) batch processing, and effectively troubleshooting complex application issues. This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and business teams to guarantee uninterrupted banking services.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for Systematics ALS applications.
• Monitor and support End-of-Day (EOD), Beginning-of-Day (BOD), and other scheduled batch processing activities.
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex production incidents impacting Systematics ALS applications.
• Analyze batch failures, job abends, JCL errors, and processing delays to ensure successful business operations.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Monitor application performance, batch execution, and system availability to maintain operational stability.
• Support production deployments, implementation activities, and post-release validation.
• Coordinate with application development, infrastructure, database, and operations teams during production incidents.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises, production readiness reviews, and change management activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ITIL best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• 6–10+ years of experience in Mainframe Production Support.
• Minimum of 4+ years supporting Systematics ALS applications within enterprise banking or financial services environments.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale banking batch processing and mission-critical production environments.

Technical Skills and Domain Knowledge

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
• Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA-7, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based production support processes.
• Knowledge of core banking systems and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) processes is considered an advantage.
